What exactly is a Mini Bernedoodle?
A Mini Bernedoodle is a crossbred between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Miniature Poodle. The result is a fun, friendly, playful and sometimes goofy dog that we feel makes the perfect family companion.
How large is Mini Bernedoodle?
Because the puppies are hybrids, they often vary in size, even within the same litter. They range from 25 to 40 pounds and stand between 18 and 22 inches tall.
What colors are the puppies?
As an F1 (First Generation) hybrid, we might have a puppy that looks more like a poodle or one that looks more like a Bernese Mountain Dog. Colors can vary from light brown, black/white and dark brown/white.
What kind of a coat can I expect?
Straight Hair Coat Straight coats usually shed the most and are the least hypoallergenic of the three coat types. Their coats actually have a slight wave and the length of the dog’s straight hair depends mostly on the length of the parents' hair. This is the least common coat type. Wavy Coat The wavy coat is probably the coat most seen on Bernedoodles. This coat is very free-flowing and often has a kinked or wavy appearance. It is minimal shedding. Curly Coat Curly coats are the most hypoallergenic of all coat types. It is most similar to the Poodle's coat type and the curls are tighter. It is the most hypoallergenic coat. You will most likely need to do more grooming with a curly coat, although they shed the least.
Are Bernedoodles good with kids?
Yes! They blend very well into families with kids, as well as other pets.
